Officers conducted a thorough search of the home's interior and the department's police K-9 was also deployed in an extensive peripheral search of the land surrounding the targeted home. Based upon the discovered track determined by the K-9, investigators feel very strongly that the persons responsible entered the homeowners back yard via a wooden fenced in area, and broke into the home on a rear deck.
Merrimack Police are following up on leads, and are scouring area pawn shops and gold buyers for jewelry and assorted other items which were taken from the home that morning. Anyone with information about the burglary or other helpful information is asked to contact Detectives Scott Park or Kenneth Macleod at the Merrimack Police Department at 424-3774, or to remain anonymous use the Merrimack Police Department's Crimeline at 424-2424 or by Clicking Here to provide investigators with helpful information.
